The board installs in standard PCIe X4, X8 and X16 slots and delivers stable signal output for continuous operation. It is not intended for systems that lack a free PCIe slot or for drives using interfaces other than NVMe.

32Gbps and 64Gbps Bandwidth Options

The adapter supports two speed tiers, 32Gbps and 64Gbps, giving headroom for demanding U.2 NVMe workloads such as large file transfers and database workloads. Throughput scales with the host slot width and the drive capability, so a X4 link will saturate below the 64Gbps ceiling. Builders pairing the card with slower drives or narrower slots will not reach the upper figure. The card cannot increase the native speed limit of the connected SSD.

PCIe 4.0 Interface Limits

The card operates within the PCIe 4.0 specification, so maximum throughput is bound by the generation and lane count of the host slot. Signal integrity is maintained across X4, X8 and X16 links, but the 64Gbps rating requires a full X16 4.0 connection and a drive that can sustain it. Older PCIe generations or narrower slots will reduce the practical ceiling. No onboard controller or bridging logic is present to overcome the host bus constraints.
