This SMUGDESK expansion card adds seven USB 3.0 ports to a desktop computer through a single PCIe slot. Dual NEC720201 and VL812 controllers manage the traffic for reliable throughput. The board draws auxiliary power from a standard 15-pin SATA connector so attached devices receive stable current. It fits any PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot on Intel or AMD motherboards.

Low heat and silent operation

The card has no active cooling, so it runs completely silent inside the case. Power draw stays modest because the controllers are efficient and the SATA feed only activates when peripherals demand it.
