Dual CVBS Capture Boards

This package provides two compact boards that convert analog CVBS composite video into a USB 2.0 digital stream. Each board handles a single camera feed, making the set suitable for dual-channel surveillance upgrades or multi-camera DIY projects. The modules are aimed at integrators and hobbyists who need to digitise legacy analogue sources without bulky capture boxes. Replacing Analogue CCTV Feeds

The boards replace direct analogue monitor connections or ageing DVR inputs by turning composite video into a USB signal that modern software can record or stream. The upgrade is worthwhile when existing CCTV cameras still function but the recording infrastructure has failed or lacks network capability. It is not for users who require audio capture, HD resolutions, or IP camera integration, as the hardware only processes standard-definition CVBS video.

Standard-Definition Video Headroom

Each board delivers a single standard-definition video stream in YUY2 or MJPG format, sufficient for basic monitoring, recording and machine-vision tasks. The USB 2.0 interface provides enough bandwidth for the native CVBS resolution without compression artefacts. Headroom runs out when more than two cameras are needed, when audio synchronisation is required, or when the application demands high-definition or multi-stream encoding beyond the board's fixed analogue input.
