1-inch ID CRWA1 shaft seal

This SKF 9935 rotary shaft seal fits a 1-inch inside diameter and a 1.624-inch outside diameter with a 0.25-inch overall width. The CRWA1 design uses a nitrile rubber lip and carbon steel spring to seal rotating shafts in automotive and industrial equipment. It handles animal and vegetable oils, diesel, gasoline, greases, hot water, light heating oil and mineral oils. The acrylic-coated case resists corrosion during installation and service.

Sustained sealing at 3,840 RPM

The seal is rated for continuous operation at up to 3,840 RPM with a maximum surface speed of 5.09 mps. Its dual-lip contact design maintains a consistent barrier under steady rotation while the nitrile material resists heat and chemical breakdown from the listed fluids. Maximum pressure is limited to 10 psi, so the seal suits low-pressure splash or gravity-fed lubrication rather than pressurised systems.

Replaces worn nitrile lip seals on inch-dimension

This part directly replaces a failed CRWA1 or equivalent seal with the same 1-inch ID, 1.624-inch OD and 0.25-inch width. The upgrade is worthwhile when the original lip has hardened, the spring has lost tension or the case coating has corroded, causing leaks. It is not suited for applications that exceed 10 psi, require higher surface speeds or need a fluoropolymer lip for aggressive chemical compatibility.
