The Simplex 904-1-26D is a mechanical pushbutton combination lock finished in satin chrome. It provides keyless access control for commercial or residential doors without batteries or wiring. The lock supports a single access code programmed at the keypad and allows free egress at all times via the interior thumbturn. It is built with a cast front housing and clutch-protected thumbturn for force resistance.

Manual relocking and code management under daily use

The deadbolt does not relock automatically; it must be manually relocked after each entry. This behaviour suits environments where controlled access is preferred over automatic latching. The single code is changed without removing the lock from the door, reducing maintenance downtime. Mechanical operation removes the material and labour expense of battery replacements over the product life.

1-inch deadbolt with flat strike for 1-3/4

The 1-inch (25mm) deadbolt engages a flat strike and fits doors ranging from 1-3/4 to 2-1/8 inches thick. Outswing doors require a 2-9/16-inch backset; inswing doors require a 2-1/2-inch backset. Buyers whose doors fall outside this thickness range or who need automatic relocking will need a different locking solution.
