Sustained Throughput on Legacy Standards

Under continuous load the bridge maintains connectivity using the 802.11n physical layer across two spatial streams. Performance scales with channel conditions and client density on the selected band. The radio handles persistent traffic typical of industrial or building-to-building links. It does not deliver the sustained rates of modern multi-gigabit wireless platforms.

802.11n Interface Practical Limits

The 802.11n interface caps maximum link speed at the HT rates defined for 2x2 operation. Real-world throughput is reduced by overhead, interference and regulatory power limits on 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz. Legacy clients on the same network further lower aggregate capacity. The bridge cannot exceed the spectral efficiency ceiling of the 802.11n amendment.
