The Sigma 17-40mm f/1.8 DC Art lens covers a 17-40mm focal range on Sony E-mount APS-C bodies, giving a 25.5-60mm equivalent field of view. Its constant f/1.8 maximum aperture stays bright across the zoom for low-light shooting and shallow depth of field. The optical formula uses 17 elements in 11 groups, including four SLD and four aspherical elements. An HLA linear actuator drives fast, quiet autofocus with minimal focus breathing for video work.

Check mount and filter thread before ordering

This lens fits Sony E-mount APS-C cameras only; it will not cover a full-frame sensor without vignetting or crop mode. The front filter thread measures 67mm, matching the included ProOptic filter kit and Hoya NXT Plus 10-layer UV filter. Verify that your camera body accepts E-mount lenses and that you have space for the 728-02 hood in your bag. The bundle supplies front and rear caps plus a carrying pouch.
