Push-Fit Brass Coupling for Potable Water

This 3/8 inch brass coupling joins two tubes of the same size using a push-to-connect design on both ends. It is intended for potable water installations where a quick, tool-free joint is required. The straight connector body measures four and a half inches overall. Suitable for residential and light commercial plumbing work.

Pressure and Temperature Limits of the Push-Fit

The fitting is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 200 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit. These limits apply to the push-fit connection itself and must not be exceeded during service. No thread sealant is pre-applied, so the seal relies entirely on the internal O-ring and grip ring mechanism. Verify that your system pressure and temperature stay within these boundaries.

Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Confirm that both tubes have a 3/8 inch outer diameter and are made from a material approved for push-fit use such as copper, CPVC or PEX. Ensure the tube ends are cut square, deburred and free of scratches or ovality that could prevent a proper seal. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
