The Scotty 2700K Power Braid is a 200-pound-test braided line on a 200-foot spool designed for controlled-depth salmon and lake-trout trolling. The thin .05-inch diameter cuts water resistance so the cannonball tracks true at speed. Anglers who run multiple stacked releases gain the low-stretch sensitivity needed to detect light bites at depth. The black colour reduces visibility in clear water.

Under constant tension from heavy cannonballs and planer boards the braid resists creep better than monofilament of equal test.
