The Schneider Electric LC1D50ABD is a three-pole IEC magnetic contactor built for switching inductive loads up to 50 A and resistive loads up to 80 A. It operates on a 24 V DC coil and includes one normally open and one normally closed auxiliary contact for control-circuit feedback. The TeSys Deca series unit mounts on DIN rail or a flat plate using screw clamp terminals for secure wiring. It suits automation panels, motor starters and lighting circuits that require reliable DC-coil operation.

Verify Coil Voltage and Load Type

Confirm that your control circuit supplies 24 V DC to match the contactor coil rating before installation. Ensure the connected load does not exceed 50 A inductive or 80 A resistive current at the application voltage. Check that the screw clamp terminals accept your wire gauge and that the 4.8 in by 2.17 in footprint fits the available panel space. The device has no enclosure rating, so it must be installed inside a suitable cabinet.

Thermal and Power Behaviour

In normal use the contactor coil draws a low, steady DC current and runs silently without audible AC hum. The main contacts dissipate heat proportional to the load current, so adequate airflow inside the enclosure is required. No fan or active cooling is integrated; thermal performance depends on panel ventilation and ambient temperature. The auxiliary contacts carry only control-level current and add negligible heat.
