The Sangoma S505 is a wired VoIP handset built for staff who juggle several simultaneous calls. Four independent SIP accounts let a receptionist or knowledge worker register separate lines without extra hardware. Eight programmable line keys with LED status indicators give instant visual feedback on call state, while eight dedicated feature keys handle hold, transfer, voicemail and conference functions at a single press.

Sustained call handling with full duplex audio

During long conference sessions the full duplex speakerphone keeps both talk paths open without clipping, so overlapping speech remains intelligible. Five-way conferencing lets the phone merge multiple parties locally, reducing load on the PBX and avoiding extra bridge licences. The 3.5 inch colour display stays legible under office lighting, and the backlight remains steady during extended use rather than dimming after a short timeout.

Dual Gigabit ports and built-in VPN

Two Gigabit Ethernet sockets allow the handset and a downstream PC to share a single structured-cabling drop while each device negotiates full line-rate throughput. The integrated VPN client can establish an encrypted tunnel to the corporate gateway without requiring a separate software install on the phone, so remote or hot-desk deployments keep signalling and media traffic inside the trusted network perimeter.
