Converts digital 1080p signals to VGA for displays or projectors, includes 3.5mm audio output and 20cm cable
This adapter converts a digital HDMI signal from a laptop, PS3, Xbox 360 or Blu-ray player into an analogue VGA signal for monitors or projectors. It supports resolutions up to 1080p and HDCP versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. The 20 cm cable features gold-plated connectors and a copper core for stable transmission.
A built-in 3.5 mm stereo jack separates the audio stream so you can connect external speakers or headphones directly. This avoids relying on display speakers when the target monitor lacks audio support. The converter requires no driver installation and works immediately on hot-plug.
The VGA output tops out at 1080p and cannot carry higher resolutions or digital-only content protection beyond HDCP 1.2. Audio must be routed through the separate 3.5 mm jack because VGA carries no sound. The 20 cm tether restricts placement between source and display.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The adapter uses a passive conversion chip and gold-plated plugs; there are no moving parts or replaceable modules, so no scheduled maintenance or component replacement is expected.
The chipset is rated for 1080p at 60 Hz; sustained use cannot exceed that 1080p limit, so the resolution ceiling is the first constraint you hit.
The unit draws power only from the source port and has no active cooling; the short 20 cm cable and ABS housing stay at ambient temperature during continuous use.
