Indoor dual-band access point

The Ruckus ZoneFlex R700 is an indoor wireless access point built for high-density environments such as offices, schools and venues. It delivers concurrent dual-band operation with 450 Mbps throughput on the 2.4 GHz radio and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz radio. The unit supports over 500 connected clients and uses 21 dual-polarised adaptive antenna elements with more than 3000 patterns to maintain ultra-reliable coverage. It is suited for deployments where client density and interference are primary concerns.

PoE power and thermal profile

The access point draws power through 802.3af PoE, eliminating the need for a separate mains adapter and simplifying cabling in ceiling or wall installations. With no moving parts the device runs silently, making it suitable for noise-sensitive areas such as meeting rooms or libraries. The PoE supply also keeps power draw predictable across the network infrastructure. Normal operation stays within the standard PoE budget without requiring upgraded switching hardware.

Smart antenna patterns and channel selection

The 21-element adaptive antenna array creates over 3000 distinct patterns that steer signal toward clients and away from interference automatically. A novel channel-selection algorithm delivers up to 50 percent capacity gain compared with conventional background scanning methods. Automatic interference mitigation continuously optimises airtime in crowded RF environments. These features reduce the manual tuning effort normally required in dense deployments.
