RUCKUS WIRELESS
A stackable Layer 3 switch with 48 PoE ports — 32 Gigabit PoE+ and 16 multigigabit PoE++ — plus four 25 GbE SFP28 uplinks and a 1480 W PoE budget
Class 1480W PoE Budget, 2x PSU
The RUCKUS ICX 8200-48ZP2-E2 is a stackable Layer 3 switch built for Wi-Fi 6 and IoT campus deployments. It provides 32 PoE+ ports at 10/100/1000 Mbps and 16 PoE++ ports at 100/1000/2500 Mbps, plus four 25 GbE SFP28 uplinks. The 1480 W PoE budget with dual power supplies supports high-density access points and powered devices.
Four SFP28 ports operate at 1, 10 or 25 GbE for uplinks or stacking up to 12 units in a single logical stack. A USB Type-C port, RJ45 serial console, USB Type-A port and a dedicated RJ45 management port give multiple out-of-band access options. Embedded web management, CLI and DHCP auto-configuration simplify initial deployment and ongoing operations.
The 1480 W PoE budget is only available when both power supplies are installed; a single unit limits the budget to 740 W. Maximum system draw reaches 920 W at 100-240 VAC, so rack power distribution must accommodate that load. Buffer memory is 4 MB and forwarding capacity is 254 Mpps, which constrains burst absorption on fully saturated 25 GbE links. Buyers needing deeper buffers or higher single-port speeds should evaluate other platforms.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Two AC power supplies are installed; each supports the 740 W PoE budget alone, so a failed unit can be swapped without shutting down the stack.
The forwarding engine is rated at 254 Mpps full-duplex, so sustained line-rate traffic across all 48 RJ-45 ports and four 25 GbE uplinks will hit that packet-per-second limit first.
Max system draw is 920 W at 100–240 VAC; dual fans cool the chassis and both power supplies under full PoE++ load.
