XLR and USB-C Outputs on One Microphone

The single specification that decides fit is the presence of both XLR and USB-C connections on the same capsule. XLR feeds an external interface or mixer for classic analogue workflows. USB-C engages the onboard Revolution preamp, A/D conversion and DSP effects including APHEX Aural Exciter and Big Bottom processing via the RØDE Central app. Choose the path that matches your current signal chain; no adapter can add the missing interface later.

Studio Arm and Zero-Latency Monitoring Included

The Auray BAI-2N arm clamps to a desk and uses internal springs to hold the microphone steady through long sessions, keeping the capsule at mouth level without a separate stand. When running over USB-C the 3.5 mm headphone port provides zero-latency monitoring with a dedicated volume slider, so you hear exactly what is being recorded. The setup handles broadcast speech, streaming dialogue and voice-over work comfortably; it runs out when a session demands multiple simultaneous microphones or phantom-powered condenser capsules.
