The Ring Outdoor Smart Plug adds app-based switching for two 120 VAC outlets, letting you manage garden lights, fountain pumps or seasonal décor from a phone. It is built for homeowners who already use the Ring ecosystem and want a single weather-resistant module instead of multiple indoor adapters. The plug connects wirelessly to a Ring Bridge, so no extra hub or wiring is required beyond a standard GFCI receptacle.

Weather-resistant build and mounting

A sealed enclosure rated for outdoor exposure protects the internal relay from rain, humidity and temperature swings. Two hinged outlet covers snap shut when cords are unplugged, keeping contacts clean between seasons. The supplied 6.5 in tether cable reaches the nearest socket without strain, while the included hardware packet lets you screw the unit to wood, stucco or masonry for a permanent, tidy installation.

Replacing timer boxes and manual switching

This plug removes the need for mechanical timers, photocells or walking outside to flip a switch, especially useful when holiday lighting schedules change or when you want lights triggered by a Ring camera motion event. The upgrade is worthwhile if you already own a Ring Bridge and want unified scenes across cameras, doorbells and smart lights; without the Bridge the plug cannot join the app, so buyers who prefer standalone Wi-Fi or Zigbee devices should look elsewhere.
