On-wall PoE line source speaker

The Revolabs VXL P is a black on-wall loudspeaker designed for commercial and residential installations that need a narrow vertical dispersion pattern. Sixteen drivers are arranged in a line-source array to deliver consistent coverage across the listening area. Power over Ethernet simplifies cabling by carrying both audio and power on a single network cable. The package includes mounting brackets, bracket bases, a safety wire, machine screws and a template owner's manual for straightforward installation.

Thermals noise and power draw

Passive cooling keeps the unit completely silent during operation because no internal fans are required. Power is supplied through the PoE connection, so the speaker draws only the current provided by the network switch or injector. Heat generated by the amplifier section is dissipated through the aluminium enclosure, maintaining stable temperatures in typical indoor environments. No external power supply or separate mains wiring is needed for normal use.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous high-level playback the line-source geometry maintains its controlled vertical coverage without the dispersion narrowing that occurs with conventional point-source boxes. The sixteen drivers share the acoustic load, reducing excursion per driver and limiting thermal compression during long sessions. PoE power budgeting on the network switch determines the maximum sustained output level available. The safety wire provides a secondary mechanical restraint if the primary brackets are stressed over time.
