The Redragon GS550 Orpheus is a 2.0 channel desktop speaker system designed for PC, laptop and TV users who want a simple audio upgrade. Its two satellite units can sit separately beside a monitor or merge into a single sound bar underneath, fitting tight desk spaces. A touch-sensitive remote and a combined volume knob with power switch give quick control without software. The set draws power from a USB port while audio travels over a 3.5 mm cable.

3.5 mm analogue connection limits

Sound is delivered through a standard 3.5 mm stereo jack, so the speakers rely entirely on the host device’s built-in audio circuitry for signal quality and maximum volume. No digital processing, surround decoding or equaliser profiles are provided by the hardware itself. The USB link supplies only 5 volt power; it carries no audio data, so devices without a headphone output cannot drive the system. Cable length between the two satellites reaches 31 in (80 cm), which restricts how far apart they can be placed.

Modular build with front I/O

Each satellite weighs 0.59 kg and measures 19.0 in x 22.0 in x 8.71 in, using a black plastic enclosure with a red LED backlight that stays on whenever the unit is powered. The right-hand speaker integrates a headphone jack and a microphone jack for headset pass-through, reducing cable runs to the PC. Because the speakers are USB powered, no external mains adapter is required, but a free USB-A port must be available at all times. Buyers who want more storage for audio settings or a wireless link will not find those features here.
