The Red Hat 8030G016 is a normally closed, two-way solenoid valve designed for drain and trap applications. It operates on 120V AC and uses a brass body with NBR seals for compatibility with air or inert gas. The compact form factor suits installations where space is limited. A 7/16 in orifice provides a Cv of 2.8 for controlled flow.

Brass body and watertight coil enclosure

Brass construction resists corrosion in typical plumbing environments while the watertight coil enclosure protects the 120V AC winding from moisture. The 1/2 in nominal pipe size threads directly into standard fittings without adapters. Normally closed operation means the valve blocks flow until energised, providing fail-safe shutoff for drain lines. Maximum operating pressure differential for air or inert gas is 4 psi.
