The RECTORSEAL 97044 is a black, round trap seal designed for 4-inch floor drains in commercial and industrial plumbing systems. It uses EPDM, HDPE and silicone materials to maintain a barrier against sewer gases and pests when water evaporation would otherwise break the trap seal. The device meets ASSE 1072 and ICC-ES PMG standards for code-compliant installations.

Verify drain size and mounting surface before

Confirm the floor drain has a 4-inch pipe size and a flat, stable opening that matches the seal's 11 1/2-inch overall width and 6 3/4-inch overall length. The unit has no threaded connection and relies on a friction fit, so the drain rim must be clean and free of damage. Ensure local codes accept ASSE 1072 and ICC-ES PMG listed devices for the intended application.

Replaces dry or missing trap primers

This seal upgrades installations where trap primers are impractical, absent or have failed, eliminating the need for water refill lines or manual maintenance.
