RECAPS RC-KIT-N3-120-T reusable filter kit

The RECAPS RC-KIT-N3-120-T is a stainless-steel capsule set built for Nespresso OriginalLine machines including Essenza Mini, Pixie C60, Lattissima Pro, Citiz and Creatista models. It replaces single-use aluminium pods so owners of compatible brewers can use their own ground coffee. The kit is not suitable for Dolce Gusto, VertuoLine, Essenza C100, Citiz XN740B, Inissia C40, Le Cube D185 or C185, Krups CitiZ XN7006, Breville CitiZ BEC620RED, Classic Machine, D150, C190 or Lattissima+ 520B.

Daily brewing workflow

Each capsule is shorter than a standard pod to protect the machine’s blade plate, so it seats securely without falling through. Users fill the filter with the supplied scoop, tamp lightly, wipe the rim and apply a foil lid before brewing. After extraction the foil peels cleanly from the metal rim in about one second when the capsule has cooled slightly, leaving no residue and keeping the used grounds contained.

Thermals and handling

The stainless-steel body conducts heat quickly, so the capsule becomes hot during brewing and should be allowed to cool before the foil is removed. Rinsing the filter and wiping the machine’s drip tray after every use prevents grounds from mixing with later cycles. At 0.28 kilograms the kit adds negligible mass to the brewer and stores in a 4.2 by 10.1 by 15 centimetre footprint.
