Essential Oil Fruit Fly Trap

The Raid Essentials trap uses plant-based essential oils to attract and capture fruit flies inside the home. It is formulated to be safe for use around children and pets when directions are followed. The 5.4 oz unit targets fruit flies specifically and has not been tested on gnats or drain flies. Each device provides continuous protection for up to 21 days.

Placement and Build Integration

The compact trap sits on any flat surface near fruit bowls, rubbish bins or compost caddies where flies gather. No power supply, batteries or refill cartridges are required, so it frees up outlets and eliminates ongoing consumable costs. It works passively, adding no noise or heat to the kitchen environment. Simply remove the lid and position it out of reach of curious hands or paws.

Capacity and Limits

One trap covers a typical kitchen area for the full 21 day lifespan before the attractant is exhausted. It is designed solely for fruit flies and will not control gnats, drain flies or other flying insects. Heavy infestations may require multiple units placed at separate breeding sites. When the liquid is depleted the entire unit is discarded and replaced.
