The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc CD drive to 2019-2026 Rivian R1S models that lack a factory player. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from the same connection. No additional wiring, adapters or tools are required for installation. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or wherever the cable reaches.

For Rivian owners who still use CDs

This device suits drivers who want to play physical CDs through the factory infotainment system and control playback with the original radio or steering-wheel buttons. A built-in skip-protection buffer helps maintain smooth playback while the vehicle is moving. Buyers whose vehicles already have a factory CD player, or who only stream audio via Bluetooth or phone projection, will not need this add-on.

Plug-and-play integration with factory controls

After plugging the cable into the USB port, allow roughly two minutes for the disc to finish indexing before using the system. Once indexed, track selection and volume are handled by the existing Rivian controls, freeing the driver from learning a new interface. The package includes printed instructions that must be followed from step one if the initial indexing is interrupted.
