Add CD playback to 2019-2026 Grand Cherokee

This external USB CD player restores disc playback for Jeep Grand Cherokee models from 2019 through 2026 that left the factory without a built-in drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port so there is no extra wiring or tools required. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or anywhere the cable can reach the port.

Power is drawn from the USB connection so no separate supply is needed. Once indexed the player lets you control music through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons, keeping the original interior layout intact. Printed instructions are included and the installer must allow two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before the setup is complete.

Consistent operation after the initial index

After the two-minute indexing period the drive reads discs steadily while drawing only USB power. Interrupting the index forces a restart of the whole procedure with a different disc, so the process must run without disturbance. Once past that step the player delivers reliable playback for daily driving without additional configuration.
