This Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc drive to 2019-2026 Chevrolet Silverado HD trucks that left the factory without one. It draws power and data from the vehicle's USB port so no extra wiring or tools are needed. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or anywhere the cable reaches. Installation follows the included printed instructions and requires about two minutes for the disc to finish indexing before use.

Replaces Missing Factory CD Slot

The device restores the ability to play physical CDs on trucks where the manufacturer omitted a built-in player. It is a direct plug-and-play upgrade for owners who still purchase or archive music on disc and want control through the original radio or steering-wheel buttons. The jump is worth it when streaming or digital files are not preferred and a permanent, integrated solution is desired. If the indexing process is interrupted, the instructions must be restarted from step one with a different disc.

Single-Disc Capacity and USB Power Limits

The player handles one standard audio CD at a time and relies entirely on the truck's USB port for power. It comfortably manages typical album playback and track navigation via factory controls. It runs out when the USB port cannot supply sufficient current, when a disc is damaged or unreadable, or when the owner wants multi-disc changers, DVD video playback or digital file support from USB sticks. The cable length also limits mounting locations to spots within reach of the port.
