Vehicle Compatibility

The Pro Star USB CD Player is an add-on single-disc unit designed for 2019 to 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible models that lack a factory CD drive. It draws power from the vehicle USB port and integrates with the existing radio and steering-wheel controls so the driver can browse tracks without new wiring. The compact chassis can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or wherever the supplied cable reaches the USB socket.

USB Interface Limits

Operation depends entirely on the car’s USB port supplying sufficient current and supporting the required audio-class protocol; vehicles with low-power charge-only ports will not run the mechanism. The player must index each disc for about two minutes before playback begins, and interrupting that process forces a complete restart with a different disc. No auxiliary input, Bluetooth pairing or separate power adapter is provided, so the factory USB connection is the single point of failure.

Capacity and Headroom

The mechanism accepts one standard audio CD at a time and holds no internal storage for ripped tracks or playlists. It comfortably handles typical retail discs and CD-R media that the vehicle’s head unit recognises, but copy-protected or non-standard formats may not index correctly. Multi-disc changers, DVD video playback and high-resolution audio files are outside the device’s capability.
