This Pro Star add-on CD player connects to the USB port of a 2026 Toyota BZ and uses CarPlay to play audio discs through the factory system. Plug-and-play USB installation with indexing wait

Installation consists of plugging the supplied USB cable into the vehicle’s USB port and following the printed instructions included in the box. The most common issue is interrupting the initial disc indexing process; the manufacturer stresses that the CD must be allowed to finish indexing for about two minutes before use. If the process is stopped early, a different disc must be inserted and the full set-up procedure repeated from step one to avoid persistent problems.

USB-powered CarPlay limits for CD playback

The device draws power and communicates solely through the car’s USB port using the CarPlay interface, so it functions only while that port is active and the vehicle supports CarPlay audio streaming. It cannot operate independently of the infotainment system, and it does not add CD capability to vehicles without CarPlay or to USB ports that supply only charging current. Disc changes require the indexing wait each time, which limits rapid track switching compared with digital media.
