This Pro Star unit adds an external CD player to Volkswagen CC models from 2019 through 2026 that lack a factory disc drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port with no extra wiring or tools required. Power is drawn from the same USB connection so no separate power lead is needed. The device can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or anywhere the cable reaches.

Sustained playback and indexing behaviour

After inserting a disc the player indexes the content for about two minutes before playback begins; interrupting this process means restarting the full installation sequence with a different CD. Once indexed the unit streams audio continuously through the factory radio or steering-wheel controls without further loading pauses. Because it is powered solely by the car's USB port the drive maintains steady operation for the duration of a journey without battery drain concerns.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The USB-powered mechanism runs cool during extended playback sessions and adds no perceptible heat to the cabin. Mechanical noise from the disc motor stays at a low background level that is easily masked by typical road and HVAC sound. Current draw remains within the vehicle USB port's standard output capability so the factory electrical system handles the load without voltage sag or fuse issues.
