The Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player adds a single-disc drive to 2019-2026 Toyota Aygo X models that left the factory without one. It draws power and data from the vehicle's existing USB port, so no extra wiring or tools are needed. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the cable reaches. Installation follows the printed instructions supplied in the box.

USB Port Bandwidth and Indexing Time

The device relies on the car's USB connection for both power and CarPlay communication, so performance is limited by that port's output and the head unit's software. After inserting a disc, the system requires about two minutes to finish indexing before the CD is fully accessible. Interrupting this process means restarting the whole sequence with a different disc and repeating every step from the beginning.

Replaces Missing Factory CD Player

This kit is for owners who still want physical discs but whose Aygo X never came with a built-in player. It does not add CarPlay to a head unit that lacks it, nor does it work on vehicles outside the 2019-2026 Aygo X range. Buyers needing multi-disc changers, Bluetooth streaming, or support for other Toyota models will not be served by this single-disc USB solution.
