The Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc drive to 2019-2026 Mitsubishi ASX models that left the factory without one. It draws power and data from the vehicle's existing USB port, so no extra wiring or tools are required. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or wherever the cable reaches.

USB Port Bandwidth and Indexing Time

The device relies entirely on the car's USB connection for both power and data transfer, so performance is limited by that port's available bandwidth. Each disc needs roughly two minutes to finish indexing before playback is reliable; interrupting the process means starting the set-up again from the beginning with a different disc.

Single-Disc Capacity and Factory Control Integration

One CD fits in the slot at a time, and the player hands track selection, volume and navigation over to the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons. It does not store music internally, rip files to a library or support multi-disc changers, so buyers wanting jukebox-style storage or Bluetooth streaming will need a different solution.
