What this coupler does

The FJC-10E connects two 1" raceway sections so cables can run continuously along a wall or ceiling. It is a beige plastic fitting built from flame-retardant PVC that meets UL94V0/5A fire-safety ratings and includes a UV stabiliser to resist colour fade. The coupler works with Wire Hider, Raceway On-A-Roll and Latching Duct systems and can be painted with latex paint to blend with surrounding decor. Home owners and office installers use it to keep cord runs tidy without visible gaps between moulding pieces.

How it fits into an installation

The coupler snaps between adjacent raceway channels and relies on the self-adhesive backing already applied to each moulding length. No extra fasteners or tools are required beyond a clean mounting surface and the raceway sections themselves. Because it bridges the joint, it frees the installer from having to align separate pieces perfectly by hand. The accessory is interchangeable across the three compatible raceway families, so existing stock can be extended without switching product lines.

Behaviour under sustained use

The ABS construction with UV stabiliser prevents yellowing or brittleness when the installation is exposed to sunlight or indoor lighting over long periods. Its UL94V0/5A rating means the material self-extinguishes if subjected to elevated temperatures, maintaining structural integrity around the cables inside. The paintable surface accepts latex coatings repeatedly, allowing colour updates without degrading the coupler. These traits keep the joint secure and visually consistent throughout the life of the cable run.
