The Poly Edge E320 is a corded IP phone built for shared desks and high-traffic areas. It includes a desk stand, a CAT-5E network cable and a handset cord so the unit is ready to connect to a PoE port without extra power supplies. GSA and TAA compliance makes it eligible for government procurement schedules. The handset and console both carry Microban antimicrobial protection to reduce surface bacteria between users.

PoE connection and antimicrobial surfaces

Power over Ethernet removes the need for a local mains adapter, cutting cable clutter and freeing desk sockets for other equipment. The supplied CAT-5E cable links the LAN port directly to the network switch, delivering both data and power in a single run. Microban treatment on the handset and console is moulded into the plastic rather than applied as a coating, so the protection lasts for the life of the device. A setup sheet is included for quick reference during deployment.

Check PoE budget and desk space before ordering

Verify that your network switch can supply enough PoE power for every handset you plan to install, as the phone draws its operating current from the Ethernet link. Confirm the desk area can accommodate the footprint of the base with the attached stand and the coiled handset cord without blocking keyboard trays or monitor arms. Ensure the structured cabling uses at least CAT-5E grade wiring end-to-end to support the phone’s network link.
