The Phomemo A30-GN-4 is a portable label printer that uses solid-ink heat-transfer technology to produce 0.47 inch wide labels. It connects via Bluetooth to a companion app offering 200 fonts, 600 symbols and over 200 border templates for text, QR codes, barcodes and timestamps. The gift set includes the printer, two satin ribbons and two label tapes. Weighing 150 grams and measuring 13 by 4 by 9 centimetres, it suits home, office or light craft use.

Bluetooth interface and media constraints

The sole interface is Bluetooth, so a compatible smartphone or tablet running the manufacturer app is required for every print job. Media width is fixed at 0.47 inches, with 0.55 inch stock also listed as supported but not printed at full width. Continuous and pre-cut tapes, ribbons, magnetic, iron-on, glitter and luminous supplies are supported, yet colour output depends entirely on the consumable colour chosen. Operating temperature range is -10 °C to 60 °C.

Simple setup with common pitfalls

Pairing the printer to the app is straightforward, but users must select the exact media type loaded so the firmware sets correct heat and feed. Forgetting this step causes faded prints or misfeeds. Ribbon and tape must be seated under the print head with no slack, otherwise the solid ink transfers unevenly. The app does not warn when a ribbon runs out, so a print job may finish blank. Regular cleaning of the print roller prevents adhesive buildup.
