Philips Hue Calla Extension Light

This Philips Hue Calla extension adds a single waterproof bollard to an existing low-voltage outdoor system. It delivers 16 million colours and every shade of white for path and landscape lighting. The kit includes the fixture, a ground spike, a mounting bracket, a cable connector and an extension cable. A Hue Bridge (model 458471) and a Calla base power supply are required but not included.

Low-Voltage Build With Spike And Bracket

The aluminium housing is rated for permanent outdoor exposure and connects through the supplied low-voltage cable connector. Installers simply position the bollard, push the spike into the ground or fasten the bracket to a hard surface, then plug the connector into the existing cable run. No mains wiring is needed at the fixture, so the setup remains safe for DIY installation. Metal structures nearby can weaken the Zigbee signal between nodes.

Eight-Watt LED With Mesh Range Limits

Each unit draws 8 W from the shared low-voltage supply, keeping energy use minimal across long pathway runs. The integrated LEDs run cool enough to touch after hours of operation, and there are no moving parts to generate noise. Reliable mesh communication requires the first light to sit within 30 ft of the Hue Bridge or the nearest indoor Hue device, with up to 60 ft between subsequent outdoor nodes. A single bridge supports up to 50 Hue products in total.
