Perle 10/100 Media Converter with PoE+

The Perle S-110Pp-S1Sc20D converts 10/100Base-TX copper links to single-mode fibre while delivering PoE+ power to connected devices. It supports a maximum frame size of 2048 bytes for standard Ethernet traffic. The unit includes an AC power adapter with a USA power cord for immediate deployment. This converter suits network edges that need both data and power over a single fibre run.

Single-strand SC fibre and RJ-45 copper

A single SC connector carries bidirectional 100Base-BX signals at 1550 nm transmit and 1310 nm receive wavelengths across 20 km of single-mode fibre. The RJ-45 port provides 10/100Base-TX connectivity up to 100 m or 328 ft using standard copper cabling. PoE+ sourcing on the copper port powers compatible cameras, access points or VoIP phones without separate injectors. The standalone chassis requires only the supplied adapter for operation.

Upgrades copper-only links to fibre reach

This converter replaces direct copper runs that exceed the 100 m distance limit or that lack PoE capability at the far end. The jump is worth it when cameras, sensors or wireless points sit beyond copper reach but still need 100 Mbps bandwidth and PoE+ power. It does not serve links requiring gigabit speeds, multi-strand fibre, or SFP module flexibility. Buyers needing higher throughput or different wavelengths should consider other models.
