Explorer case with HPX 2 polymer

The Pelican 1615 Air Wheeled Check-In Camera Case uses super-light HPX 2 polymer that is up to 40% lighter than other polymer cases. Integrated wheels with stainless steel bearings and an extending trolley handle make rolling travel simple. Five easy open double throw latches and ergonomic comfort grip rubber over-molded handles add secure handling. A card holder can be placed on the front or side for quick identification.

Pick-N-Pluck foam for custom fit

The case includes a 1.3 lb density polyurethane foam insert with a pre-scored grid of 1/2" x 1/2" squares. You pluck out the foam to tailor the interior for cameras, lenses, audio and video equipment. This replaces fixed foam inserts that cannot adapt to changing kit layouts. The jump is worth it when your gear mix shifts often and you need a secure, personalised cushion without buying new inserts.

Watertight seal with pressure valve

A watertight rubber O-ring seal makes the case crush-proof and dust-proof. An automatic pressure equalisation purge valve balances air pressure inside the case during altitude changes. The practical limit is that the seal and valve protect against environmental pressure differences, not against prolonged submersion beyond the design spec.
