NetKey Cat5e keystone jack

The Panduit NK5E88MIWY is a Category 5e keystone module that terminates unshielded twisted 4-pair cable from 22 to 24 AWG. It fits standard keystone openings and supports both T568A and T568B wiring schemes without a punchdown tool. The off-white polycarbonate and ABS housing carries a RoHS certification and gold-plated contacts. Installers who need shielded connectivity or a different colour must look elsewhere.

Tool-free termination under load

The jack accepts solid conductors directly, using an integrated lacing cap to seat each wire without a separate impact tool. An optional termination tool can be used to verify that every conductor is fully seated for consistent contact pressure. Strain-relief features grip the cable jacket to prevent movement from disturbing the gas-tight connection. The design maintains 100 ohm impedance through the termination point during continuous PoE or PoE+ power delivery.

Cat5e channel limits

The module is rated to Category 5e and Class D performance, supporting 100 MHz bandwidth over 100 ohm UTP cabling. It carries PoE and PoE+ currents through gold-plated contacts without exceeding the thermal limits of the polycarbonate housing. The universal label displays both T568A and T568B colour codes to avoid wiring errors that would degrade the channel. Applications requiring Category 6 or higher bandwidth need a different keystone specification.
