Panduit
Category 5e shielded jack module with 8-wire TG-style termination for PoE applications
The Panduit CJS5E88TGY is a TG-style shielded keystone jack module designed for structured cabling installations that require Category 5e performance with added EMI protection. It suits network engineers and installers building or upgrading copper infrastructure in commercial or industrial environments where shielding is specified.
The shielded construction addresses alien crosstalk and external noise in dense cable bundles or electrically noisy areas where unshielded modules fall short. The jump is worth it when the design calls for a fully shielded channel to meet ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 and ISO 11801 Class D requirements with verified NEXT and return-loss performance.
The keystone footprint snaps into standard Mini-Com outlets, surface-mount boxes and patch panels, freeing rack space by using high-density 1U or 2U panels. Each jack is 100% tested and individually serialized for traceability, while optional dust caps and lock-in devices secure unused or critical ports without additional hardware.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The module uses a TG-style footprint and is built for shielded installations; it mounts in a compatible TG-style faceplate or patch panel rather than a standard keystone cut-out.
It uses a punch-down termination; the step often missed is fully seating each conductor in the IDC slots before snapping the dust cap on.
Inspect the optional dust cap during routine patch-panel audits and replace it if the latch is cracked or the seal no longer sits flush.
