Power adapter for video recorders

This 12 V 40 W AC adapter delivers 3.33 A through a 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel connector. It is built for video recorders and similar equipment that require a centre-positive 12 V supply. The unit replaces CWT KPL-040F-VI and KPL-040F models.

Limits of the barrel connector

The fixed 5.5 mm outer and 2.1 mm inner diameter fits only devices with the matching jack. Polarity is centre-positive, so equipment wired for centre-negative cannot use this adapter. Maximum output is 40 W; hardware that draws more current will need a higher-rated supply.
