Portable DAW Controller

The Novation Launchkey Mini 25 MK4 is a compact USB MIDI keyboard controller with 25 mini-size synth-action keys spanning three octaves. It includes 16 velocity-sensitive FSR RGB backlit pads, eight programmable encoders, pitch and modulation touch strips, and a crisp OLED display. The bundle adds an Auray FP-P1L universal piano-style sustain pedal and a Hosa MID-310 black 10 ft MIDI cable for immediate connection to external MIDI hardware.

Build Integration

USB-C connectivity links the controller to computers and smart devices while a 5-pin DIN MIDI output connects directly to external synthesizers or sound modules. The 1/4-inch sustain pedal input accepts the included Auray pedal for expressive playing. Eight assignable encoders and dedicated transport, navigation, and function buttons provide hands-on control over DAW parameters without reaching for a mouse or keyboard.

Sustained Workflow

Chord Mode, Scale Mode, and three chord mapping options (Fixed Chord, User Chord, Chord Maps) keep harmonic ideas flowing during long sessions. The internal arpeggiator and 16 FSR pads doubling as step sequencers and clip launchers reduce repetitive mouse work. Capture MIDI, quantize, and undo buttons preserve spontaneous performances, while the OLED display shows real-time chord identification and parameter feedback throughout extended use.
