Adds a 5 Gbps wired network link to USB-C devices with a compact 46 g aluminium adapter
This USB-C adapter adds a 5GBASE-T RJ45 port to laptops, tablets and desktops that lack built-in Ethernet. It targets users who need a stable wired link for large file transfers, low-latency video calls or high-speed LAN access without opening the chassis.
The adapter delivers up to 5Gbps on CAT6A or better cabling paired with 5GbE-capable switches and will step down to 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps, 100Mbps or 10Mbps when the network cannot sustain the top rate. Full speed requires a USB 3.2 Gen2 or Thunderbolt host port; older USB-C ports become the bottleneck.
A lightweight metal shell weighing 46 grams disperses heat during sustained loads, keeping operation stable in home, office or travel scenarios. The compact form factor plugs directly into the host USB-C port without blocking adjacent sockets, and the RJ45 jack accepts standard Ethernet cables for immediate connectivity.

The adapter is designed for USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) or higher USBC/Thunderbolt ports; on older ports it auto-negotiates to the highest supported rate, so 5Gbps throughput is achievable on Gen2 but may be limited on Gen1.
Check the negotiated speed in your OS network settings or the switch port LEDs; the adapter auto-negotiates to the highest rate supported by the cabling and switch, showing 5Gbps when CAT6A and a 5GbE switch are present.
You need CAT6A or higher Ethernet cabling and a 5GbE-capable switch or router; the adapter itself provides the RJ45 port and USB-C connection, but cabling and network gear are not included.
