The NiSi 65 PRIME 16mm T2.9 is a large-format cinema prime lens built for directors of photography and cinematographers who require maximum coverage and optical precision. It covers the ARRI ALEXA 65/265 in Open Gate mode and the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA 55, delivering a diagonal field of view exceeding 122 Degree on ARRI and 118 Degree on GFX. The wide T2.9 aperture enables excellent light gathering for challenging low-light productions.

PL mount integration and sensor coverage

The lens uses a PL mount for direct attachment to compatible large-format cinema cameras, requiring no adapters for the supported ARRI and FUJIFILM bodies. Its imaging circle close to 65mm in diameter frees the operator from vignetting when shooting Open Gate, while the horizontal field of view of 117.2 Degree and vertical field of view of 74.3 Degree on ARRI provide ultra-wide compositions not achievable with smaller-format optics. Builds using other mount systems or smaller sensors cannot utilise the full image circle.

Manual aperture control from T2.9 to T22

The aperture ring offers a continuous range from T2.9 to T22, giving cinematographers precise control over depth of field and exposure without relying on electronic communication. This mechanical iris allows smooth, repeatable adjustments during takes and removes the need for camera-specific lens protocols. Shooters who require autofocus, electronic metadata transfer or servo zoom control will not find those functions on this fully manual prime.
