The Nikon Z8 is a compact mirrorless camera built around the same 45.7MP FX-format stacked CMOS sensor and EXPEED 7 processor found in the flagship Z9. It delivers 8.3K 60p N-RAW and 4.1K 60p ProRes RAW video alongside 8K30p and 4K120p 10-bit internal recording. The body is 30% smaller than the Z9, making it better suited for gimbal work and handheld event shooting.

45.7MP Stacked Sensor with Fast Readout

The stacked BSI CMOS sensor provides fast readout speeds that reduce rolling shutter while the BSI design helps control noise across the extended ISO 32-102400 range. The EXPEED 7 engine operates approximately 10x faster than previous processing, enabling up to 20 fps raw and 30 fps JPEG continuous shooting with a blackout-free real live viewfinder.

493-Point AI AF for Hybrid Shooters

The 493-point autofocus system uses AI-based subject detection to track people, animals, and vehicles reliably for both stills and video. A 3.2-inch 4-axis tilting touchscreen LCD aids composition from high or low angles.
