XPP-5460 intrinsically safe headlamp
The Night Stick XPP-5460 is an intrinsically safe dual-light LED headlamp certified to cULus, ATEX and IECEx standards for hazardous environments. It produces up to 200 lumens in dual-light mode using a multi-position tilt head and a stainless steel clip that fits most hard hat brackets. The low-profile green housing weighs 5.8 oz and is built from glass-filled nylon polymer with a 6.56' drop rating. It is intended for industrial, construction and emergency-response professionals who need hands-free lighting in classified locations.
Hard hat clip and TIR lens
The integrated stainless steel clip secures the headlamp to standard hard hat mounting brackets without extra adapters. A Total Internal Reflection lens shapes the LED output into a uniform beam pattern for both spotlight and floodlight modes, improving usable light on task surfaces. The tilt mechanism allows precise directional adjustment while the lamp remains clipped to the helmet. No additional mounting hardware or software is supplied.
AAA battery installation
The headlamp runs on three AAA batteries inserted into a sealed compartment that maintains the dustproof and waterproof rating. Battery changes are tool-free but require opening the latch in low light, which can be awkward with gloves. The 3.5- and 10-hour runtime figures depend on the selected mode and battery quality; dimming output signals that replacement is needed. No rechargeable pack or charging circuit is included.

Questions about this item
How often will the three AAA batteries need replacing when the headlamp runs in dual-light mode?
Dual-light mode runs for 3 hours on a fresh set of three AAA batteries, so expect to swap them after each 3-hour shift.
What limits continuous operation before the light must be turned off or batteries changed?
The 3-hour dual-light runtime is the first limit reached; spotlight or floodlight alone last 3.5 hours on high or 10 hours on low.
Does the headlamp generate noticeable heat or noise during an all-day shift?
The LED headlamp has no fan and no moving parts, so it runs silently; the low-profile polymer body stays cool during normal use.
