Three-Inch Class 125 Gate Valve

The Nibco F619RW is a ductile-iron gate valve sized for three-inch nominal pipe and rated to ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is intended for plumbing professionals and facility engineers who need reliable shut-off in water distribution systems. The resilient wedge and EPDM seals suit potable-water service and general industrial use. Non-rising stem operation keeps the installed height constant during cycling.

Flanged Connection with Bolted Bonnet

The valve mounts between mating Class 125 flanges, so the surrounding pipework must provide matching bolt patterns and gasket surfaces. A bolted bonnet allows field maintenance of the wedge and seat without removing the body from the line. The handwheel operator requires no external power or control wiring, freeing the installer from actuator mounting and electrical coordination. Stem and bonnet materials are cast iron and ductile iron respectively, matching the body for consistent corrosion behaviour.

Sustained Pressure and Temperature Performance

Under continuous service the valve withstands 300 psi water pressure and 250 psi steam pressure at the rated temperature limits. The resilient ductile-iron wedge maintains seal integrity over repeated thermal cycles without the leakage creep common in metal-to-metal seats. EPDM seat and seal materials resist degradation from hot water and steam, preserving shut-off torque over long duty periods. The non-rising stem design eliminates thread exposure to the media, reducing packing wear during extended operation.
