Copper DWV Elbow for Drain-Waste-Vent Systems

This Nibco 907LT fitting is a 1-1/2 inch wrot copper sweat elbow designed for drain, waste and vent piping. It joins two copper tubes of the same size using soldered cup connections on both ends. The long-radius 90 degree bend promotes smoother flow through the drainage network. It is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations.

Rated for Low-Pressure Drainage Up to 400 Degrees F

The elbow handles a maximum operating pressure of 5 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 400 degrees F. These limits cover standard gravity-fed DWV systems carrying air or potable water. It does not suit pressurised supply lines, hydronic heating loops or any circuit that exceeds the stated pressure ceiling. High-rise stacks or pumped discharge lines would exceed its design envelope.

Sweat-Joint Installation Frees Layout Flexibility

Both ends accept 1-1/2 inch copper tube with a 1 5/8 inch outer diameter, so the fitter solders directly into the cups without adapters. The long-radius geometry eases routing around joists and studs while maintaining code-compliant sweep. No mechanical joints, gaskets or special tools are required beyond standard soldering equipment. The fitting adds no flow restriction beyond the sweep itself.
