Potable Water Vent Elbow

This 90-degree vent elbow connects two 3/4-inch copper tubes using cup sweat fittings on both ends. It is designed for potable water systems in residential and commercial plumbing installations. The bronze body meets NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 standards for drinking water safety. Installers use it where a directional change with venting is required.

Sweat Fitting Integration

The fitting joins directly to copper tubing without threads, requiring soldering tools and flux for a permanent joint. Both ends accept 7/8-inch outer diameter tube, matching standard 3/4-inch nominal sizing. It fits into tight corners where a vented turn is needed, freeing up straight-run space for other components. No additional adapters are required for copper-to-copper connections.

Pressure and Temperature Headroom

Rated for 466 psi maximum operating pressure and 200 degrees Fahrenheit, the elbow handles typical municipal supply pressures and hot water loops with margin. It complies with ASME B16.18 for dimensional consistency in copper systems. The bronze construction resists dezincification in aggressive water conditions. Systems exceeding these pressure or temperature limits will need alternative fittings.
