Bronze Reducing Tee for Potable Water

This NIBCO 705-LF reducing tee joins two 1/2 inch copper tubes with a 1/8 inch FNPT branch for potable water systems. It is made from low-lead bronze and rated for a maximum operating pressure of 577 psi. The fitting uses sweat cup connections on the run and a threaded port on the branch. It suits plumbers and DIYers working on residential or light commercial supply lines.

Sweat and Threaded Connections in One Body

The tee slips onto 5/8 inch outer diameter copper tube at both run ends for soldered joints. The centre outlet accepts 1/8 inch male pipe threads for valves, gauges or drain cocks. This combination reduces the number of separate adapters required in a branch installation. It frees up space compared with assembling a straight tee plus a reducer and a threaded bushing.
