Copper Coupling for 1-1/4" Tube
The NIBCO 601 coupling joins two 1-1/4 inch copper tubes in a straight C x C configuration without an internal stop, allowing full pipe insertion for custom joint placement. It is intended for plumbers and installers working on residential or commercial water, heating or cooling systems that use wrought copper fittings.
Rated to 439 psi at 100 Degrees F
The fitting withstands pressures up to 439 psi at 100 Degrees F and operates continuously from -20 Degrees to 400 Degrees F, providing headroom for typical hydronic and potable water circuits. Systems that exceed this pressure or temperature envelope will require a higher-class fitting not covered by this model.
Solder-joint thermal performance
Because the coupling is made from wrought copper and relies on a soldered C x C joint, it conducts heat evenly with the adjoining pipe and adds no mechanical noise or vibration. Power draw is not applicable to this passive component.

Questions about this item
Will this 1-1/4 inch copper coupling fit my existing 1-3/8 inch outside diameter tubing?
Yes, the coupling is designed for 1-1/4 inch nominal tube size which corresponds to 1-3/8 inch outside diameter tubing.
How can I verify the coupling is holding pressure after soldering the C x C connections?
The coupling is rated for 439 psi at 100 degrees F, so a standard pressure test up to that limit will confirm the joints are sound.
Does the box include flux or solder for the C x C sweat connections?
The coupling is supplied as a bare wrought copper fitting; flux and solder must be purchased separately to complete the joints.
