Limits of Silicone and Manual Use

The blade measures 11 in x 2.5 in x .1 in, so it cannot reach the bottom of extra-deep stockpots or scrape wide commercial sheet pans in one pass. Heat resistance protects the silicone during normal sautéing and baking, but the material is not rated for open-flame contact or broiler temperatures. Because the tool is manually operated, clearing very stiff doughs still requires physical effort and multiple passes.
